I recently received my latest blog tour book from Kregel Publications, Angelguard--Not all the Spirits are Good.  This fiction book immediately brought to mind a couple of my favorite authors, Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker.  I think I have another new favorite author.  (insert big grin here)

The book starts out with a Cast of Characters including humans, angels who are guardians, and demons.  The characters   are found in the UK, Australia, the USA and Europe.  The story starts  in a hospital after a bomb explodes at a football game.  Within a   few paragraphs the reader is introduced to the ever-present angel guards who protect the uncle of a small boy killed   during the blast.  Within a few more paragraphs demons are introduced into the story and the reader quickly finds out about a plot by the demons to take over the world.  Soon a conflict/revenge situation is introduced between a demon and an angel guard.  Have I captured your attention yet? Then another bomb, and that was just the start of the story.

This story is full of action between angels and demons.  In the same way that Frank and Ted got me thinking about the whole "spiritual    battle" topic, Mr. Acheson also surprised me with a story that was hard to put down until finished  In this one book there is action, spiritual battle, human corruption, death, and a fight for power to reign over the world.  If you like a story full of fast moving action and wonderfully described characters this is a must read.

Mr. Acheson does an excellent job of describing a spiritual battle   that many do not believe in.  It is very clear from the beginning that   this battle is and will continue to be ongoing.  This is an excellent first book from an author I'll be watching for in the future.
