Hey, check out this great flap book all about The Time of Jesus.   I received this colorful book from Kregel in the hope that I'd provide a review.  Let me tell you a bit about it.  This a a sturdy board book with fun flaps for kids to peek into while finding out about what was happening during the time of Jesus' birth and life.  You children will find out about the babe's birth in a stable in Bethlehem, his childhood in Nazareth, and his travels by the shore of Lake Galilee.  They'll get to see what farm country was like, hear about the feast of a rich man, and  imagine the temple in Jerusalem.  By the time they reach the end of the book they'll also find out about the trial of Christ, his death, his burial in a garden tomb and his eventual rise to a new life.

The pictures in The Time of Jesus are colorful and richly detailed.  Major points of each story are presented allowing children to understand basic true stories.  The flaps add extra fun and pull the children into story and allow for discussion.  Your child doesn't even have to be able to read to enjoy the book and learn from it.  This is definitely a nice book and would be great as a gift for a child for Christmas or Easter.

My little guy picks up this one on occasion just to remind himself of things and converse about the stories. We really liked this book. The book sells for $14.99, which is a bit expensive, but it is definitely a book your child will be able to carry around everywhere he might  go to remind him of the stories it contains.  This is another great offering from Lion Hudson/Kregel.
