Lately we've been checking out another Kregel Blog Tour book, Bible Stories Painting Book 2. We've been having a great time creating wonderful art. This is the second in a series of watercolor painting books with scenes from the Old and New Testaments. The pictures are basic and geared to younger children. On each page there is also a one line description of the picture. Each book has 16 picture pages, and the paints are inside the front and back cover in clever palettes that are part of the book.
All you need to create fun is this book, a paint brush (or cotton swab), and a bit of water. You simply get your brush wet, pass it over a color from one of the palettes inside the cover, and paint your masterpiece. There are many bright colors to choose from to make the pictures come to life. The pictures are perforated for easy removal from the book so your artist can hang them on the fridge, in their room, or give them to family and friends. We love the paint palettes inside the covers. So many of the paint with water books for kids have the paint on the page, and that can be so messy. This series makes the fun simpler and much cleaner! If you have a budding artist these are worth trying and fairly cheap too. Have fun!!
