Hey, we just watched a really great movie. Have you heard of A Mile in His Shoes? It's a family movie from the director of "Angels In the Outfield". It's an inspiring story about a boy with Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism. This is a baseball movie where a coach finds a boy with incredible talent. You can't help but keep watching to see if the losing minor league baseball team will make a comeback. Dean Cain and Luke Schroder star in the gmc movie based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler".
I won't spoil the story for you, but I will tell you that the actors did a fabulous job with this movie. The portrayal of a boy with Asperger's was handled in a sensitive and realistic manner. This movie is about faith, determination, and friendship. It's also about family relationships and the difficulties of having a child that is "different" from the crowd.
If you'd like to find out more about the movie visit the Website, Facebook, or YouTube, links I've provided.
Keep or pass on? This one is a keeper. I really enjoyed this movie. The actors were great. The story was very inspiring. I really appreciate that a specials needs character was treated with such sensitivity. Now I just need to go find that book too!
Here's some great news, I get to pick a winner to receive a copy of this DVD too! If you'd like to enter just leave a comment here on my blog that you're interested. If you have a favorite inspirational movie based on another biography please share (although not required). I'll be doing a random drawing of all entries Saturday, January 28th at Noon.
