Recently I received a complimentary copy of Red Dawn Rising from Kregel Publications as one of their blog tour books.  If you like mystery, intrigue, action and danger you'll probably enjoy this book.

From the beginning and all the way to the end this book weaves a believable story about the people who become involved in trying to stop a ruthless man, the Architect, from destroying America and resurrecting the Soviet Union.  There are secrets to be revealed, references to the KGB, the CIA, murders, relationships that were and relationships that are blooming.  Terrorist attacks, presidential inauguration,  spies, and love--oh my!

The characters include a set designer, her mother, her stepfather who has a past connection to the Soviet Union, the protector boy-next-door who is in love with the set designer, former agents, a new president, a mastermind (the Architect) and a professional pianist.  It was hard to pick a favorite character from the many in the story.  Each character is well-written and developed from their past to the present.

This was an entertaining book.  The secrets, plot twists, and well-written characters made this book hard to put down.  I look forward to reading book three of the trilogy.  I'll definitely be following this author's books.

I'm  not obligated to give a positive review, but I really enjoyed this book!
